Our Story
In 2024, I was working on a sermon titled “What is the Church?” based on the book of Acts. In my studies, I noticed that the early church grew largely due to daily Bible study—not just occasional study, but a consistent, daily practice.
“And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” —Acts 5:42
That reminded me of my own journey. In 2022, after many years of personal struggle, I was at my lowest point and crying out to God the best way I knew how. God answered and said, “This is as good as it gets, living in a life of sin.” At that moment, I knew I had to give my life to Him, and I began studying the Bible.
In 2023, I walked into an Adventist church. Later that year, I was baptized, with a mission-focused heart to spread the truth of the Bible.
In 2024, I had the opportunity to go on a brief mission trip to El Salvador. While I was there, I was studying the book of Acts, which inspired the sermon on “the Church.” Being there, I couldn’t help but think: This must be how the early church felt.
The rest of 2024, I knew two things:
The mission in El Salvador is something I want to be a part of.
I want to encourage more people to dig deeper into the Bible and help them see, through Scripture, our true mission (Acts 1:8 and Mark 16:15)—and, of course, the Three Angels’ Message of Revelation 14.
But I didn’t yet know how to do both—or how to do either well. Then, near the end of 2024, through sermons, Bible study, and the Holy Spirit, a question came to mind:
If we lost the freedom to worship in our church buildings, are we equipped to lead house churches?
Not just lead them, but also grow them and spread the Gospel through them?
Immediately, Acts 5:42 came to mind. The spread of the Gospel in the book of Acts—and in the early Advent movement—didn’t happen by meeting once or twice a week. It happened by meeting and studying the Bible daily, in every house.
So, the name House to House Ministries came naturally—and from the Bible. We are called to minister house to house every day, or at least as often as we can. The Bible is the blueprint for church growth, for disciple-making, and for church planting—both locally and globally.
That is our mission—by the grace of God, and with your support.
